Timber property development
The future’s placemakers are taking shape
We develop entire timber neighbourhoods — climate-neutral, beautiful and made for life, generation after generation. VYN is now taking shape at Väsjö Torg in Sollentuna, with the lake ahead and the ski slope behind.

Who we are
We build with the only construction material that grows back.
Trähem is a property development company focused on the future. We want to leave a positive green legacy and play a part in society’s transition to a more sustainable world.
The company was founded in 2022, yet brings together more than 50 years of combined expertise in timber apartment and housing construction. Over the years, our partners have developed around 10,000 homes. Each brings specialist knowledge — from the first sketch to the final nail — enabling us to deliver on our promises without losing sight of the greater goal: a greener future.

Why timber
Touch wood — nature lives in these walls
The construction sector accounts for around 20 per cent of Sweden’s total greenhouse-gas emissions. Unlike concrete and steel, timber stores carbon dioxide rather than emitting it. For us, building more in timber is not merely the right choice — it is the obvious one.
Stronger than steel, kilo for kilo
Timber offers greater strength relative to its weight — allowing lighter foundations and shorter construction times.
A carbon store in the façade
Every wall and floor structure stores carbon throughout the building’s life.
A drier construction process
Industrialised modular construction means fewer defects, less waste and quieter building sites.
A home that breathes
Visible interior timber brings warmth, good acoustics and a comfortable indoor climate.
„Timber is stronger than steel and concrete relative to its weight. It is easy to work with, cost-effective, durable, environmentally sound and beautiful. Why build with anything else?”Siavash Ehsanzamir — Structural Engineer, Trähem
